Law Centre Training: Greater Impact through Managed Performance - London
With increasing demand and ever more pressure on grant funding and legal aid income, maximising impact through effective performance management has rarely been more critical.
All Law Centre staff need to understand what’s needed from them and managers and trustees need to be able to properly monitor and understand performance and, if necessary, take steps to increase impact through improved performance and to be properly equipped to manage under-performance.
This session, run by Matt Howgate, will reflect on the issues and behaviours that effect performance and will provide practical solutions for setting realistic targets; monitoring performance and effectiveness; and managing under (and over) performance.
Refreshments will be provided.
Matthew Howgate is a non-practising solicitor, freelance consultant and ex manager of Hackney Community Law Centre. He has worked with a number of Law Centres, advice agencies and law firms on regulatory and compliance issues and is also one of the lead tutors on the LAPG Certificate in Practice Management
