National Pro Bono Week will be taking place on 3-7 November 2014, and the Law Centres Network is proud to be taking part in it.
National Pro Bono Week is organised through a collaboration of national bodies, including the Law Centres Network, professional bodies Law Society and CiLex, and the National Domestic Pro Bono Committee. All of us want to celebrate the importance and highlight the positive contribution of pro bono lawyers across the country.
The week will be launched with a 'Question Time'-style public event to raise awareness of developments in the pro bono sector. This year's event will focus on the theme of early intervention, and will give participants a chance to debate the future of pro bono work in England and Wales.
This year, London will benefit from a double celebration of pro bono activity. Along with the domestic National Pro Bono Week, the city will host the European Pro Bono Forum conference.
The event, organised by PILnet, the global network for public interest law, will be held at The Mermaid between 5-7 November.
