Is legal aid going where it is needed most? A Law Centre perspective

Last week the BBC's popular current affairs programme, Inside Out London, covered the issue of the distribution of legal aid. In particular, it queried how some rich individuals are granted legal aid for their criminal proceedings while civil legal aid is drastically cut. 

Among a variety of distinguished speakers including Lord Carlile QC, Lord Macdonald and the Bar Council chair, Michael Todd QC, was our own Patrick Marples, chief executive of South West London Law Centres.
