The Network's most recent member, Ealing Law Centre, has celebrated its first year serving the community with a packed celebration on Friday.
Braving the stormy autumn weather were many local supporters and clients, as well as a host of dignitaries. Ealing Council leader Julian Bell has spoken and pledged his support for the Law Centre.
Ealing-Southall MP Virendra Sharma congratulated the trustees and staff for setting up a vital new service in the borough after a period in which it had no local advice organisations.
London MEP Claude Moraes, fresh from work in Brussels, arrived to commend the Law Centre as 'a cracking service' that was a ray of light at a time of public cuts and service closures.
Shadow justice spokesman Andy Slaughter MP, himself a trustee of nearby Hammersmith and Fulham Law Centre, has pointed out how Law Centres are important to public administration. The former leader of Hammersmith and Fulham Council has said that, "if you run a local authority, a Law Centre will keep you honest."
We wish the Law Centre every success in its work!
