A 5km walk due to take place on 27 September, aims to raise money for the North West Legal Support Trust, enabling charities to continue supporting those throughout the region in need of free legal advice and representation.
Starting from the city’s court building next Thursday, representatives from Cumbria Law Centre and the Access to Justice Foundation in London will join others passionately committed to doing their bit to “ensure access to justice is not restricted to the wealthiest”, says Claire Davies, president of the NWLST.
Formed in 2009, The NWLST is a grant-making charity, established to raise funds for free legal advice services in the North West of England. This is the first event of its kind and is timed to coincide with a walk taking place in Manchester.
