A group of Sheffield parents have lost their Judicial Review against the city council's cuts to Early Years services, which they had brought throught the local Law Centre.
Nevertheless, one of the mothers represented spoke of a sense of empowerment through the legal process. She paid tribute to Sheffield Law Centre and its caseworker Douglas Johnson for their 'outstanding commitment and tireless work'.
The mother added:
“In the beginning we were isolated individuals, by the end of this difficult, and emotional journey, we have become a team of politically and legally educated activists who have proved ourselves a force to be reckoned with – what’s not to like about that?"
