Getting Involved

Law Centres are locally based and provide a legal service for those most in need in their communities.

People can get involved in a number of ways:

  • Becoming a member
Get involved by joining a Law Centre management committee.
  • Setting up a Law Centre
The LCF works closely with local Law Centre steering groups to help prepare their application to the LCF for full membership.
  • Volunteering in a Law Centre
Many Law Centres have set up 'LawWorks' Clinics with local firms of solicitors and welcome local people to help with legal and non-legal work.
  • Working for a Law Centre
All Law Centres employ paid staff and are managed by voluntary management committees comprised of representatives of local communities and other interested parties.
