Immigration & Asylum Advice - one off advice Currently provide one off, instances of advice to Newcastle and Sunderland residents. Advice is by appointment only so please ring the office to see if the Law Centre can help. Also provide advice and casework support as part of the North East Refugee Law Project to any asylum seekers and refugees living in North East England. We offer a low cost paid for advice service for people who are not eligible for free services starting from £60 for a first appointment. Immigration & Asylum - Drop in Advice Sessions A drop-in service for Newcastle residents to give advice on Immigration, Asylum and Human Rights. You do not need an appointment and the service is held once every 4 weeks at the West End Refugee Service at FODI in Sunderland. Please ring the office for our next session. Immigration Telephone Advice Line – 0191 230 4782 - Fridays 10am til 12 noon. For clients who have a simple one off enquiry and/or live out our area of funding. Employment Advice Free employment basic advice provided by volunteers for people living in and around the Newcastle area who are on a low income. Telephone appointments can be booked by calling the office. Family Advice Free family advice for people living in the Newcastle or Sunderland area who are on a low income and for clients across the North East who are victims of Domestic Violence. Appointments and telephone call backs can be booked by ringing the office. Services for Victims of Crime If you have been a victim of crime in Northumberland or Tyne and Wear, we can help you with a range of services including family law, immigration law, welfare benefits and debt advice and CICA applications. Please contact the office for more details. Disrimination Advice and Education Advice Free discrimination and education advice for people living in North East England, via an evening clinic. Please ring the office for details of the next session.
Newcastle Law Centre is part of many partnerships including the Newcastle Advice Compact, Newcastle City Wide Refugee Group and works with SHELTER and Newcastle CAB on the ASTF steering Group. They are the lead partner, working with Justice First Ltd in the North East Refugee Law Project. They also work in partnership with Wor Hoose on a welfare rights project.
